1. Terms and Conditions
Scope of Services
laostravelvisa.com provides (1) visa application facilitation services and (2) organized travel tours within the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. We are a private agency and are not affiliated with the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs or any government body.
Section 1 – Visa Services
- Responsibility: We facilitate the submission of your data. The final approval of any visa is at the sole discretion of the Lao government.
- Accuracy: You are responsible for the accuracy of all submitted data. Typos or errors may lead to rejection without a refund.
Section 2 – Tour Services & Participation
- Itinerary Changes: We reserve the right to modify tour routes, schedules, or accommodations due to weather, road conditions, or safety concerns without prior notice.
- Physical Fitness: By booking a tour, you certify that you are in good physical health and have no medical conditions that would endanger yourself or others during activities (e.g., hiking, boating).
- Travel Insurance: Strongly Recommended. We are not responsible for medical expenses, emergency evacuations, or loss of personal property. Participants are urged to carry comprehensive travel insurance.
Section 3 – Payment & BCEL Gateway
- All payments are processed securely via BCEL (Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao).
- We do not store sensitive financial data (CVV/Full Card Numbers) on our local servers.
Section 4 – Liability Waiver
To the maximum extent permitted by law, laostravelvisa.com, its employees, and its partners shall not be liable for any injury, death, loss, or damage to person or property occurring during a tour or resulting from visa delays/rejections. Participants assume all risks associated with travel in Laos.
2. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Strict No-Refund Policy
- General Rule: All bookings (Visa & Tours) are final and non-refundable.
- Visa Fees: Once an application is processed or submitted to the government, no refunds are possible, even if the visa is denied.
- Tour Fees: Because we prepay local guides, transport, and permits, tour bookings cannot be cancelled for a refund.
Booking Changes (Case-by-Case)
While we do not offer refunds, we may—at our sole discretion—allow for:
- Date Changes: If requested at least 7 days before the tour start date, subject to availability.
- Minor Edits: Small corrections to visa data only if the application has not yet been lodged with the authorities. Requests must be sent in writing to [email protected]. Any approved changes may be subject to an administrative fee.
3. Privacy Policy
Information We Collect
Because we handle tours and visas, we collect:
- Identity Data: Name, Passport Number, Nationality, and Date of Birth.
- Contact Data: Email address and phone number.
- Sensitive Data: In some tour cases, we may collect dietary restrictions or health/physical fitness information to ensure your safety.
- Emergency Contact: Information for a person to be contacted in case of an accident.
How We Share Your Data
- Government Bodies: Your data is shared with the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs for visa processing.
- Tour Partners: Relevant info (like names and dietary needs) is shared with local hotels or transport providers to fulfill your booking.
- Payment: Encrypted data is passed to BCEL for transaction processing.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the services requested or to comply with local Lao accounting and legal requirements.
