The Experience

5.00–5.30 am: Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Rai and transfer to Chiang Khong.

~7.30 am: Arrive at the Thailand border for immigration stamping.

~8.00 am: Cross to Laos border by bus. Complete visa on arrival with assistance from our team.

8.30 am: Visit our Huay Xai office where you can buy a SIM card, exchange money, or grab snacks. Collect your complimentary lunch box (vegetarian or other options available).

9.00 am: Transfer to the slow boat pier and board the boat. Depart from Huay Xai to Pakbeng.

4.00–5.00 pm: Arrive at Pakbeng and stay overnight.
